The department of Automobile Engineering was started in the year 1985 with a vision to create a pool of engineers with a sound knowledge of Automobile Engineering in particular to cater to the growing Automotive industry. The department has teaching faculty strength of 01.Professor ,03.Associate professor , and 05 Assistant professor, and non-teaching faculty to assist in its activities ,has 01.foreman,02 instructors, 02 Assistant Instructors and a mechanic. The department has an intake of 40 students. We have good lab facilities like Auto CADD centre, Vehicle servicing lab, Auto Electrical lab and Auto Scanning and Reconditioning lab. It is funded by Modrobs and TEQIP in particular.

Our Aluminis have been placed in core Automotive industries, Ancillary industries, Steel industries, Cement and Ceramic industries and Software industries ,in general our Alumini are occupying high positions in reputed companies like Bajaj, Telco, Maruti Udyog Ltd and Service centers.

Program Educational Objectives

A. To enable graduates to take up successful careers in automotive and other allied industries.
B. Provide opportunity to graduates to work on multidisciplinary projects.
C. To enable graduates to be an entrepreneur.


Program Outcomes

1. Graduates will be prepared to apply basic knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering.

2. Graduates will be able to demonstrate to design and conduct experiments, interpret and analyze data, and report results.

3. Graduates will be able to demonstrate to design a Automobile system or a thermal system or a process that meets desired specifications and requirements.

4. Graduates will be able to demonstrate to function on engineering and science laboratory teams, as well as on multidisciplinary design teams.

5. Graduates will be able to demonstrate to identify, formulate and solve Automobile engineering problems.

6. Graduates will be prepared to understand and practice professional, ethical, environmental, and global responsibilities.

7. Graduates will be able to communicate effectively across all design and management interface levels of an organization.

8. Graduates will have the confidence to apply engineering solutions in global and societal contexts.

9. Graduates will be prepared to recognize the need for and then develop the skills for life-long learning.

10. Graduates will be broadly educated and will have an understanding of the impact of engineering on society and demonstrate awareness of contemporary issues.

11. Graduates will be familiar with modern engineering software tools and equipment to analyze automotive engineering problems.
